Mazuri Vits are something I've used with every elasmo collection I've worked with. Great suff! Also look into thiamine and iodine supplements if you really want to get detailed in what you offer.
What about a seafood mix? Is this a varied diet in one bag? Contains shrimp, squid, octopus, clam/mussles, scallops and probobly some things I'm forgetting. Or is this less than desireable since it's SEAfood?
i try to always feed freshwater products to my rays....
the shrimps i buy are farm raised or wild freshwater... smelts say freshwater but i limit them same with silversides... i will Q and feed crayfish and now im gonna add snails to there diet as well.... im working on settting up a large scale african nightcrawler set up to raise these and keep my self in constant supply...pellets are great and i feed often but have been thinking of taking it down to twice a week...
i put them in a Q tank and feed jungle anti parasite pellets... after a few weeks of that i would feed hikari sinking carnivor to gut load them for a week then plop them in the tank... this year i plan on raising them along with snails and african night crawlers... im gonna also attempt multiple small fishes as well... i been talking with a few people on this and im gonna try to really duplicate there natural home this spring...
meal worms and super worms etc... i can buy in bulk very very cheap.. snails and crays will be outside in a single 150 gallon rubbermaid pond unless that will pose a problem then i have a small piece of liner that ill make a snail pond out of... as far as prazi i prob could but when i did this first i had a bottle of those pellets and just used them up... but bottles of jungles parasite pellets are cheaper than prazi so yes it is more cost effective..
Ghost shrimp are treated like rosy reds (not to well) whenever you bring new fish into a tank you risk introducing parasites from the wild in. Ghost shrimp on thier own, arnt to nutritional but like nic said earlier he is going to gut load them ( feed pellets) which would give them more vitimins and mor nutrition
