bro for me I will think that frozen unshelled shrimp is still the best and convenience way... Shrimp has more protien than worms where worms have more nutrients than shrimps... so once a while still worms...

thanks. i have an army of big clown loaches with them and a lot of dats so frozen unshelled shrimp and bloodworms get fed every day so i guess they'll take their pick!

cheers guys. i am pumping them up real good! they all love bloodworm and i'm getting through about ten cubes a day plus they are moving onto the other fishes prawns now as well. they measure between 5-7" in diameter and picked them up for £150 for the 4 (about $280). does that sound reasonable?

They are definately Motoro sp. Peru then.. They are exported as 'Raya Common' or 'Raya Histrix', 'Raya Laticeps', and a few others.. It is believed they are a geographical morph of Motoro, so treat them as one.

I wish that Science and Scientists would make up their minds once and for all, and name and document all of the freshwater ray species. Its too confusing right now.

I don't think they ever did, or haven't finished yet.. I don't think their is alot of financing behind studying FW rays either.. I am unsure if their is even a 100% positive reference guide for them either..

thankyou miles that is exactly how they came into the shop as "raya common". they are so different so it'll be interesting to see how their markings will develop. is it known to what size they grow to?

I was saying i dont think that they have made a reference guide yet, but they need to! I dont think that financing should be too problematic...I mean if enough people like you, and other SERIOUS ray keepers collaberated their thoughts they could bring the freshwater stingray hobby a long way.

Just how captive breeding will bring the fw stingray species a long way, i think a good OFFICIAL reference guide with a different P# for each DIFFERENT species could bring our hobby a long way.

Just a thought, u may all just think im an idiot... but i think the ID's of fw rays are too confusing...and creating an official reference guide would do nothing but help further our hobby, and the stingrays themselves.

Yah I am thinking about making a website for it but it might be difficult because I will find a bunch of opposing opinions..

Im guessing max size will be 20-24" ?
