Ah you see ! You do critics on a person that writes not in his native language! Thats too low especially you only know your one and only native language and there your still struggeling to express yourself. To be not liked the way you are is worse then not to be liked for the things you do! You just open your mouth before thinking or you might be thinking and thats the poor result . Man how could you survive so long. I thought evolution seperates weak from strong?? Oh i forgot human beeings cheated evolution such people like you also had been given a right to live and spread these low quality geenes you must carry in you. Man yuse your god given gift !! first of all lunemy, thank you very much. Although not knowing you as well I see that you think and read before you express yourself. Thanks. And I must ad, as you did for what DavidW wrote, and must simply ad "wow". Thanks DavidW anyhow, nice of you.
I am happy that this thread gets back to where it should (with one or two exceptions): The article about stingrays.
And first of all thank you Sethg for the nice comments and reading it. I can see you did, while
always4lora did not read it very carefully, otherwise would have written something more intelligent.
Just for your information: This article contains things NEVER EVER published anywhere before - specially the taxonomy of the species - but also other things. Maybe you ant wo have another look, or just forget it.
Fishes and plants, I have grown up with in the 3rd generation of a family tradition (and hopefully my daughter will continue it in the 4th generation). This is my life since I am 4 (I remember very well in the African jungle going with my mother collecting, as she, as well as her father, contributed tremendously to this, the most beautiful and educational hobby in the world, possibly more than anyone else) and it will with me for my last breath. The retiring I leave to guys like T1karmann, who have nothing else in their (poor) life to do than complain, argue and talk bad about others, things they will never archive in life because they have no will power, no drive, just bad talks in their poor mind and therefore talk bad about those who have the power to do something.
I do more than ever before and want to help this hobby, science and cataloguing the aquatic biodiversity of this planet, as it is disappearing faster than we can dream off. The aquatic vertebrates, and specially the fishes, are becoming extinct in nature in a pace as never before. Only no one is really after it recording that. I could write here (but better do in magazines and in my books) for month' about the species which have become extinct and why, and I want to record them all, so future generations know what once lived on this planet. That is also why I write DEFINITE GUIDES for PFK every single month now (next to 3 other articles on Biotopes, Discoveries and rivers of the world), to record their as well, as it is one of the best aquarium magazine now (but I also write for may others around the globe).
I recorded so far only about 28,000 fresh- and brackish water fishes (introduced into the hobby over 5000 different ones) and will not stop, only when my ashes flow the river where I live so the fishes have something more to survive on... as they have less and less. I will make more and more expeditions (only this year have limited it to 9, because of our baby and the books I am finishing), but next year again already 12, possibly 16 are scheduled. I have more strength and rive then ever, and hopefully still for a long time to come.

I tell ya, it seems like there's hardly a single mind on this forum capable of subtle Freudian thinking
Sr Bleher: I don't agree with your methods , and often not with your information either. I think that as someone with a high profile in the aquarium magazine world it is incumbent upon you to go out of your way to respect and follow the laws in whatever country you are visiting, and to do what you try to do in the most rational and scientific and LEGAL manner.
"'Experts" know this!
I will soon read this article with interest, and if I disagree with it or find it to be derivative I reserve the right absolutely to express my own opinion. If what you write cannot withstand simple criticism then it is weak.
If you constantly have a fit every time someone says anything that disagrees with you then perhaps you should reconsider your O.C.D. use of the internet and all the fish forums.
Information can (and should) be challenged with newer/better information , and usually the writer should not be attacked ad hominem. Bad spelling or grammar is sometimes annoying but it is the information that is important.
BUT: when there are certain patterns of questionable actions then that obviously speaks to the credibility and veracity of the writer.
