ok well i think a 120 is better than the 30g with jagged gravel.. its a great store just 1 bad decision. so how would i syphon sand ive never had sand... and i really dont like bare bottom but if i have too... :( and the 30 is pretty clean i didnt see to much poop and they just had a power head in there...

and the tea cup thing im new to stingrays and i heard theyre hard to keep so im sure i could if i did enough reasearch but i just want to have some expierience before i try to keep a tea cup sting ray

you can buy a syphon kit in the shop (fairly cheap) or make your own buy cutting half a bottle of a 1.5 litre cola bottle and attach it to the end of the tube/hose that you do water changes with and gently stir as the water is being sucked up.

i have like 2 syphone things just never did it with sand... should i start out with a motoro or tea cup?

before i kept rays i was like you and thought they would be hard to keep. ive had mine for 2 years now and honestly there one of the easiest fish to keep. just do weekly waterchanges @ 50% feed a good diet and wouldnt be no problems.

look after the water and the water will look after the fish

both require same conditions. teacups are cheaper, motoros in my personal opinion look better. but do a bit more research and shop around and see whats available. try not to buy them too small though, as there a bit delicate when vert young. 4'' and over and no problem

well i can get them from a lfs. motoros look better and i kinda want one of those but they get pretty big for a 120 but i kinda want to be able to go and catch some earthworms and baby fish from the lake so i would want a big one but its like too big and i would like jags to cause they look really cool and i probaly couldnt have them with teacups

jags and dovii will destroy a ray. wouldnt advise them with anything. my cousin has a dovii pair and split a plec twice its size. ray would die off terror before. please dont

ok no jag. i looked at teacups and they look better than i thought cause i thought they were like just plain brown not mottled so i kinda want of those so what kind of tank mates i would like a cichlid to have a lil bit of color... i would like to breed some stuff to but cichlids get mean when they breed so that might be bad..

teacups are nice. there a bit different to other rays cos they have longer tails. i might get one later on in the year when i upgrade my tank. and yeah should stay away from predatory cichlids if you plan on keeping rays.

but what could i breed with them in the tank... i really like the color of them so i kinda want to get teacups... maybe breed them?
