takes years to breed teacups and rays. you got to buy at least 3 and hope you get a pair . . . then wait a few more years for them to finish off their bonding process. if my pair had pups i would faint with happiness. thats one off my fishkeeping dreams . . . breed rays

Id say Motoros are out of the Question. I say one Tea cup and like 10more inches of fish and thats it... due to the small tank, you have to keep your eyes on your parameters cause you could get comfy and then your rays gone. I also reccom you beef up the filter and add a sump (if you dont have already :) ).

The 120 is better than a 30 but fish at Lfs are usually there for a short period of time... reguardless of what type of ray... they will find a home bigger than a 30gl.

Post pics when you get that bad boy :)

but what could i breed with them in the tank... i really like the color of them so i kinda want to get teacups... maybe breed them?

Bro... your getting ahead of yourself... learn how to take care of one so incase something goes wrong, you didnt over spend for an experiment, know what I mean. Plus keeping multiple rays in a 120 is aiming to high dont you think? ... not yet breeding?

i agree.do more research. one step at a time.

i dont have a sump i have a emperor 400 and a magnum 350 so i kinda want 3 teacups should i get more filtration?and then idk what else meaybe a large mouth bass, some oscars cause some are mellow, or maybe some bluegill to where if they dont like a food it could clean it up... and what about ghost shrimp i kinda think i should get one of those huge plants and get a few ghost shrimp and release them in the plant.. and what kind of scavenger should i put with them or are they scavengers themselves.

ok i get what you guys mean and no i didnt breed my gt and ok i get what mean buy getting ahead of myself so is my filtration ok?

im temporarly keepindg a pair of oscars in my ray tank. no problems what so ever in the last few months. not sure about bluegills as i havent kept them before.

filtration is fine. if you do get rays make sure to do 50% weekly water changes. rays love fresh water and its paromount that you change it regularly.
