2 ft wide tank will soon be too cramped for rays .
Go for 3 foot if you can . Must give them space to turn around without restriction.

Exactly what I tried saying earlier, and as Gshock said, you may as well forget about getting a ray then
 
Well from what i have noticed is it did help a bit but i will defiantly check out the seachem stability.
I feel it adds more to the biological organism in the tank than per say speed it up. Just from what i have noticed and all i have really found.

using this to "jumpstart" my tank twice, i had 2 minicycles that almost crashed my system (on my ray system alone). i stopped using it and have never had a problem since.
i personally haven't used seachem stability, but being as completely satisfied with the other varied seachem products i use, i could see it being worthwhile. i know a lot of people swear by it, and if you look up in the setup/filtration section, have done tests using it vs not, or other products. the numbers are impressive.
