i wouldnt put any cat, or pleco with rays.
Cats would probally try to eat them, and plecois may suck the slime coat.
I think Arowanas are good tank mates.
i say pick a fish that prefer the top portion of the tank.

i have binchers in my tank 7 of them....so far so good

she pregnet and a pig if she can catch it she,ll eat it but doesn't bug the binchers or clay frog....also i newer at keeping sting rays.....so it,s a knowledge base thing....so forums like this are great cause i need the knowledge....

Im keeping angels, Silvers, an aro (silver) and a few small eels with my ray, they always seem pretty happy together. Here is how I look at it, damage to other fish is acceptable, but not to the ray. So in my case, even if its a risk to the tankmate, as long as it wont try to bully the ray, Im willing to give it a try. Havent had any conflicts thus far with my current combos. Personally, I love the look of a ray/dat/aro tank.
GG are pretty aggressive. That one might depend on the fish just like with the jardini. I have a friend who has a 16 in jar with some discus with no problems. I have seen Jar with rays no problem too. Depends on the individual fish also.
