no how do i do that mate?

stick your hand in the tank and see if you get a small shock (or a big one)

Or even better if you have an electric screwdriver? The ones with a little light bulb on top so when you put the end in if it has any current in the tank it will light up.

i dont have one of those so i just call my cousin or one of my brothers or sisters over to put their hand in if i suspect anything :P

Stray voltage is irrelevent unless there's a ground in there. Without a ground it's basically just the "potential"

This voltage has been present in my tanks and has never affected the fish in any way. I realy don't think this has anything to do with loss of appetite.

Your correct that you need a path to ground which could be present some of the time only depending on humidity levels and other things. With the water parameters being fine and the rays seperated from their tankmates I'm running out of thoughts.
Are your rays slime coats shedding at all?

I just know I chased my tail for a long time on the stray voltage bit.... Never did anything to fix it and never saw any ill effects on the fish.

Just my $.02

they are abit more so on the female she seems alot worse than the male with rapid breatheing another thing she has started to lift one side at the front of her disk edge almost like there is an air bubble trapped under her,do you think it is worth treating the tank if so what would suggest useing?and thanks for all the advice people

i would treat w prazi just for the heck of it. it cant hurt

we deff need more specifics to narrow it down...

Does no one believe in salt anymore? Seems like a few months back salt and elevated temp would be the first things mentioned.......

I think some stopped recommending salt when DW started the thread against
the use as a treatment. At least it all seems to coincide. I know I have seen
Nic still recommending it.
