Stipulations for 'Royal' Green Terrors?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I feel that great food and clean water develop a ( Royal) anything > alot of males are probably considered Royal too, i would guess because of colors and size

Does anyone look for anything specific? Shades of red/orange/yellow in the saum (if it's agold you're looking into), specific areas to have more pronounced color?

What about fin length/shape, does anyone get very specific when picking out a saum?

That's what Nova 8 was discussing too. I never knew they went through a color change, so that's pretty interesting to hear.

Were their tail fins very clear and had not developed the purple arrows yet?

The tail fins were fully developed and the silver saum was a bright white color then one day they all started turning on by one.

That;s what happened with mine. She just changed colors, seemingly over night.

From what I have seen of the pictures of GTs. The colouration really changes with individuals. Not every GT will come to same beauty by feeding and well care.

The ones I bought were well coloured in both the body and fins. They are still just as colourful but with gold instead of white, I put it down to poor food and water quality in the store.

That's weird; I would assume that the poor food/water quality would affect the overall appearance and not just the saums.
