Stock ideas for a 55?

I looked @ all of them 
Had the butterfly fish before -
The puffer seems like an awesome fish but because of it's size I gotta take it off THIS list. Doesn't mean I'm not considering one for my 29 though
Since yall brought up cichlids... I kinda like the look on a Bumblebee Cichlid. I did a bit of research on them and everything I've found said they're pretty aggressive. Any thoughts on how they'd act when staring down a 12'' bichir? Also read that they get around 6'' long as adults - if I had 3 (two females, 1 male) they'd pretty much handle the tank. But not all that monster...
Jack Dempseys are cool too. Only problem there is that the only ones I can get ahold of are the adult cast offs people trade in @ my LFS (which are usually all torn up and basically look like hell) or little babies I'd need to raise up. And to be honest, I don't have a tank that doesn't have bichirs capable of eating a young JD.

maybe you could do nandus nandus.

Go on a long planned out road trip to all the Local fish stores.
Most all fish stores have a big tank for those returns you talked about.
Plot out your route from store to store ,the shortest route.(save gas)
Then Drive
Have Fun looking 
......Hopefully along the way you find what you want / need
I want to go too ...
You could save alot of gas and phone all the stores close too you....
Ask what they have in their big tanks....
What would be really fun is if you wrote down a list and posted it here.
For us to see.....and help you choose? (leave out your own "no" fish )
