Get a Texas! My 125 has a:

1 Tiger O (5")
1 JD (4.5")
1 Texas (3.5")
1 GT (4.5")
&
5 Zebra Danios

My Texas is the smallest of the 4 a about 3.5" and he is the best! :nilly: Everyday I look at him I can't decide if he is a Cyg or a Carpinte. His Colors are Dark and beautiful!

Texas Rocks!

Is that in liters or gallons? If liters, it is too small for a Texas.:)
What other fish were you thinking of getting? Posting a list isn't too bad.:)

Maybe fancy plecos?:) Gold nuggets are great though expensive.:D

i'd go with a bleekri or polleni, and a sevrum, and a firemouth, and a pair of rams, and a bristlnose, and heavly plant the tank. that'd be awesome. after im done experimenting with my 29g plant project, im going to do somthing similar in my 150g

though the paratilapia are madagascar cichlids, i've had good luck keeping them with oscars and texas cichlids, and they look really nice so, you should really look into one of those.

GT as centerpiece, that means no midas, jags, buttis, trimacs, RD, and any other brutes. or not even Texas cichlids since this fish can just be as mean as any other CA cichlids.
If you want your GT to thrive, get fish that stay in the 6"-8" range and semi aggressive. Like convict cichlid, jewel, frontosas (would be nice), some fancy plecos, loaches.

Goodluck. It would be fun stocking that tank.

have you ever kept fronts with sa/ca cichlids? from what i understand their water demands are day and night to each other, and aside from that, they typically dont like each other. i'd love a seven stripe in my big sa/ca tank:drool:

I wouldn't put fronts in there because all though they will "live" in there, their colors wouldn't be their best nor will their attitude.
