I saw on google sea horses as 20g stock idea as well good call man but how diff maintain and prices for salt (inverts maybe small fish) fresh black arro but breeding doesn't seem worth it financially

Well they are quite tough but a few people on here have done it succesfully. You could always breed cichlids (dwarf)

Is there any way to send Messages instantly bc it's crazy going back and forth I have gmail they have an instantly messaging setup I think

Im a SW noobie...Sorry.Freshwater would be a better plan =D Baby black aro

to get a 20 gallon up and going to S/W, depending on if you want to do fish only or corals, I'd probably say $350 for corals and $250 fish only. I recently set up a 10G reef with a clown. Workin out pretty good. I think if you have been successful with f/w and have a little extra time and money s/w is worth the investment. watching corals and inverts grow is just as rewarding as a carniverous fish, just w/o the personality of the fish. You could do 2 fish in a 20G with a 50G Biowheel filter, powerheads, light fixture (actinic too if you want corals), plus all the sand and live rock. But if you plan on keeping it freshwater: Ctenopoma are good, Bichirs as a grow out tank, peacock eels, African Brown Knifes, or you could get some South American Puffers! Gonna set up a tank my self for those!

I turned one of mine in to a 20 gallon community in the living room. Its beautiful , lots of mollies and platy's , for some reason guests linger at that instead of my 55 gallon with my sen bichir and Jack dempsey. My suggestion if I were to do it all over would be to put some dwarf puffers in there! Or a single bigger puffer. They rock I got three dwarfs in my ten gallon with an eclipse 1 hood that has the bio wheel and filter built in and they are loving it.

If you do salt with corals you DO NOT want that Biowheel. You do not want nitrate pouring into the tank. You will need a skimmer.

I have kept small nano reef tanks, and while they are cool they are a huge pain. Its better to go big with salt water. Im sure after topping off your tank with RO from evaporation every day you will eventually go nuts like I did with it.

A small community tank is your best bet with a 20g IMO.
