  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In Clifton? I'm 2.5 hours from there. :/

Yes. Ive driven further for fish lol. Call them and ask for a pic they have done it for me in the past. Explain how far your driving.

Being in PA you could do a pretty sick native setup, juuuuust saying haha.

Grass pickerel are cool little fish and easy to get to eat frozen foods.

Bichirs are neat for a while lol, not exactly aggressive predators though lol.

I knew you knew it was coming...seriously hahahah
haha don't get me wrong I love the way a poly looks but its like owning a wolf fish or a predatory catfish...a log until the lights are off lol. They make an impressive addition to a tank at the larger sizes, just not my game anymore lol. I need to sell my koliba and ornate

Post in the market place. Lots of interest in them now

The only problem with pike is you really can't keep them with anything else, Especially in a 125. I'm finding that you can keep larger fish in it but not multiple species. Back to the original problem, It needs to be with a fish 2x its size, a fish 2x its full size is larger than i can fit in my tank...

So this is my first time ever posting on a forum so howdy! I've recently bought a standard 125 gallon tank and I've been kicking around the idea of a predator tank, mostly because I have 35 gallon quickly reaching maximum capacity of live bearers ( Mollies, Guppies, Swordies ) I really like the idea of using feeders I've raised and the fact that I think this tank could probably keep up with with the predators hunger.

I'm looking for fish that I can keep in this tank for the remainder of there life, I don't really plan on getting another tank any larger. What I originally imagined was a "Community Predator Tank" but now I'm kind of drawing blank for ideas... What's your idea of a CPT?

All species of Arowana and Gar will out grow this tank, correct?

Gulper cats?
Dragon Goby or an eel of some sort?
Bichir?
Red Tailed Barracuda?

What's everyone's thoughts?

Redtail barracudas are very nice as mentioned. I owned one in a 75 gallon tank with a red pike and I loved it!! This two fish are great preditors. I've also gars but as said they will grow out of your tank especially if the tank is only 18 inch wide. I had an alligator gar for a year in my 105 gallon tank and he quickly out grew that.
