anyone else with any extra advice?this is my first large pond

Overfilter.

Pond fish really like movement and areation.

Definitely inground, no channel cats (unless you intend to eat them before they outgrow the pond). You could try a couple of bullheads instead if you really want cats. Provide lots of hiding places (driftwood, plants, empty flowerpots) to limit sunfish aggression.

Also be sure to check state fish and game regs before stocking the pond. I don't think Iowa requires you to get a permit, but better to check with the DNR folks directly.

kinda to late for te cats cuz i already have 2 channels 4" long

I see. Well, go ahead and plan now for what you'll do with them when they outgrow the pond; it may not take very long, as they are very fast growers. Remember that it is absolutely unacceptable to release any fish in a public waterway such as a river, stream, swamp, or reservoir. An isolated private water body, such as a farm pond, is acceptable (provided you get the landowner's permission, of course).

He knows, we told him countless times about it before you joined our sweet forum. However we dont know if hes really stick with our advice.

there is a farm ponmd i have in mind to turn loose my cats into its completely sealed of but....theres a lmb in there that tried to eat a 1 1/2 pound lmb i was reeling in on time it was huge! i was like "holy **** it's fre willy@@@@ omg!!!"

Make sure you ask the owner of the farm pond if you can add your catfish to but its just albino catfish dont have good chances to live full if it was release in the farm pond as predators can easily see white catfish swimming around. So you can keep just one albino catfish in your pond.

he actually wants me and my dad to go catch small channels to stock the pond with so ya he wont mind :)

Whoa. Whats wrong with hatchery channel catfish? Did he cannot afford them so he only want wild channel catfish? or what?
