stocking a 55 gallon

A polypterus ornatipinus. It would look pretty awesome esp. if it looks like this one:

i like that idea, i've thought of bichirs, but im not sure which one to choose
well if you're gettin' huge fish, you'll need a bigger tank....

red tail cuda sounds best

i love em but they're a bit pricy for me lol
 
Polypterus ornatipinus will grow too large for a 55g. You could do a Delhezi, and maybe two Senegals, just make sure you don't get like 3 males, or something. Try for 1 male and 2 females or 3 females.

All get way too big for a 55g except the 5 star general
 
red tail catfish is the ultimate predator..but again it vil get big for 55 gal..i too think ur best option would be something from the polypterus species..u can go for an albino senegal bichir or something like an endlicheri.
 
Are you eventually planning to upgrade?
