Stocking Advice

I would make it like a shoreline theme, where on one side the rocks and substate/plants go out of the top of the tank, and on one side it is full 1' deep, could do African cichlids or any smallish fish you wanted, and it would look great imo.
Would be a nice dwarf cichlid, earth eater, poly, shellie, or even a small turtle tank.
I would do a amazon theme with plants growing out the top and lots of dwarf cichlids and tetras and catfish
Planted tank with a American eel,a few trout -perch,pirate perch,a stoneroller and a school of shiners

I'd say I like cichlids the most, but I also like more unusual and oddball fish.

My favorite oddball is Polypterus check them out . Senegalus could live in that size aquarium.
Do you recommend any species of african cichlids in particular that don't really need the height aside from shell dwellers?
