Stocking ideas for 60 gallon?

Will the angels end up killing each other? I think african cichlids would also be nice

They shouldn't, back when I didn't know any better I housed 3 angels in a 20 gallon and they stayed together and alive for over a year. So 4 in a 60 should be fine. Just have small schoolers as distractions.

So I have a tennis ball sized angel. Can I keep her then just get 3 more or should i get them all young?

Get them all young or let the new ones get close to her size. A large angel can kill small ones it's best to raise them from young as a group.

Thats what I thought. I am going to give all my fish to my mom once I find her another tank. So far Im liking the angels or the africans...

With that footprint I'd probably do either a group of Rainbow cichlids (5-8) and some sort of smaller pleco, like a lemon fin or blue phantom (unless you were trying to get them to spawn).

Another awesome choice in my opinion would be the same as above but if you want to avoid cichlids; just replace the Rainbows with Denison barbs. They move constantly and look great.

Just my .02 of course ;)

I love the denison barbs. They remind me of rummynose tetras and I love rummynose tetras. The rainbow cichlids are nice too. Im not sure but I dont think I've ever seen rainbows in my area

If I do the denison barbs, what could be my centerpiece fish?

I don't see why not, I've got a group in my large cichlid tank and they swim about in a shoal constantly. Bear in mind they also did this in the 40 breeder I grew them out in by themselves.

Just depends on what you want as a center piece, if its a show fish, then I'd say no. However if you like seeing a shoal of descent sized and nicely colored fish constantly explore the tank, then they may be for you.

Would my green terror work with the denison barbs?

Ok so I would prefer to have a pair in my 125 gallon. I have a red devil in there now but Im no good at sexing so I would not know how to find a mate for my red devil. I think I am going to make my 60 gallon a grow out tank. I would like to get a few*tilapia buttikoferi, red terrors or trimacs and wait for them to pair up. Out of the 3 I just mentioned which would be the best pair for my 125 gallon?
