To the OP, a standard 75 gal is a great tank for a large growing wet pet like a Midas or Flowerhorn (Trimac would work just as well if you're not into hybrids). Really fun fish to keep, extremely owner responsive, and many of them grow into real glassbangers.

Some of those flowerhorns have really nice coloring the red dragon/gold are eye catching. What is your avatar pic of?

It's my juvi Red Dragon I picked up from my LFS a couple of months ago at 1". He's a great fish, and growing extremely fast (at 3.5" already). To a Flowerhorn junkie, he'd be considered low grade, but if you don't really care about pedigrees and getting award winning fish and just want a good looking, fun fish, go pick one up if they have them anywhere around you.

Thats a real nice looking fish. Ive never seen any flowerhorns at any of my lfs. Are there any recommended online stores?

Thank you. I'm sure there are, but I'm not aware of them. I'm sure someone on here can help you out though, and if not, there's always the hybrid forum.

Here is a picture of my old FH. His aggression level was off the charts. He had to be kept alone, not even a pleco.

I just got a pair of Cubans. They are pretty sweet looking fish.

That FH is really nice. The pic kinda addressed my other question, substrate color.
My tank is fairly dark- black background and low flourescent lighting. So I was planning on getting some PFS instead of the Eco-complete/flourite in there now.
I also have 3m colorquartz black I could add if its too bright.
Question is with the FHs do their colors show up better with a light of dark substrate?

Just bought a juvenile red dragon flowerhorn. He was the biggest at about 1" with the most blue and black on his side. Im hoping he'll get more coloring as he gets bigger. What food do they prefer and what will bring out their colors?

im no pro with flowerhorns or anything but i know all those "special" flowerhorn formulas they have for all these specific different things is complete BS, just feed a good pellet (maybe a couple different kinds if you want) and good treats now and then (like shrimp, krill, worms, etc) and it will grow to its potential

oh and pics or it didnt happen ;)

I think I would rather have 1 or 2 large fish.
My other tank is 180 tropical community, so I want fish that are large and colorful.
What is CA/SA?

CA/SA is Central American and South American Cichlids. If you would like just 2 or 3 larger fish then Get a GT and maybe a Jack Dempsey or just get one large Female festae!
