Just something really small for water circulation. That fluval one comes with something. You could do a tiny sponge filter or a very small HOB filter.
Now I'm wanting to start one for my bedside table. Obviously I've researched it a bit and been thinking about it for a while.
Im not positive but I THINK shell dwellers can fit in their. Not positive. You could go with some dwarf puffers.
Maybe you could get a betta with some otto cats and tank around that. Let the betta be the centerpiece fish.
You've already gotten good suggestions, and yes I'm being a negative Nancy, but even the quietest of tanks located right next to your bed can sound like Niagra Falls and drive you crazy, of course I have a 55 and 3 10's surrounding my bed.

Lol the sound doesn't bother me. I have 3 55's an 4 other tanks already in my room
