Hi all,

I've ordered a new tank, it's a 125 litre, 33 usg. Dimensions are 81cm w, 36cm d, 50cm h. Internal filter and powerhead, but I always tend to and add canister as well.

I would have gone bigger but I have no more space left due to other tanks.

I thought about a pleco only tank which I'm still keen on:

and then I thought of a grow out tank for an aro but thought better of it:

Then the wife thought about getting a ray but it's too small but I don't want to keep something like a small community tank, I would like it too be something a bit different but again it's too small to have something that will get large.

I'm in no real rush as the tank won't arrive until next Saturday and then I've got to cycle it which shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks as I'll use waste tank water from the other tanks to quick start it. Any suggestions as I seem to be going around in circles?:nilly::nilly:

predator tank
african butterfly fish with leapord bush fish mix in some congo tetras

Nice idea, I've never seen one for sale though, I've had congo tetras in the past, nice fish

Bump...

See it's not that hard;)

Nope.....

Here's my idea for what you should do, all things considered (the lesser funds thingy) Go out to your LFS an get a few pounds of gravel to start off your substrate unless you know where there's a gravel river bottom at. Then go down to the local fishing hole and find yourself a few rocks, large to medium pebbles, maybe even a piece of water logged wood bring them all home throw them in to a pot of boiling water for about 5~10 minutes, then throw them into your new tank along with some water/medium from from your exsisting tanks filter wait, and in a day or so through in some Plecos and a handful of freshwater shrimp, so you'll have something you'll be able to see during the daylight hours, and your set.

Then I'll start what should I stock my three smaller tanks with: 2): 55G 48Lx13Wx20H inches = (120Lx33Wx50H cm) tanks and 90G 36Lx36Wx24H inch(90Lx90Wx60H cm) corner tank.

Though I seriously thinking of making 1 of the 55G a crawdad/Live food tank for the RTGG's hehehe.:naughty:

Do a Dwarf Cichlid biotope based around one of the Apistogramma species of Rams, it's the perfect size.

Thanks guys, although I'm sure breeding could become more problematical in the future but I've had a look and it could still be quite interesting tank setup.

I thought you didn't like the pleco idea? I've got a load of aquatic gravel in the shed from tanks gone by, you can't beat free to keep the cost down;)

Then I'll start what should I stock my three smaller tanks with: 2): 55G 48Lx13Wx20H inches = (120Lx33Wx50H cm) tanks and 90G 36Lx36Wx24H inch(90Lx90Wx60H cm) corner tank.
Too many options for the 55s, the 90g is crying out for some plants, just MO
