Go for the Pleco Tank with lots of driftwood... with a small shoal of tetras to make it more alive... no plants... just dark gravel, rocks and wood...

You missed out the dark background:ROFL:
I was all for the pleco tank until I looked into the dwarfs and thought they could be quite cool as well, then Mrs Y came home and stated they would be boring so we're leaning to the pleco idea again:nilly:

Any other ideas?

Sounds like as much fun as a tankful of Marbles. Why not a tank of Bamboo Shrimp, a Blue Lobster or other freshwater shrimp and if you must a couple of small Plecos.

You got me dude, that was going to be my next question:ROFL:

This tank - owned by japes - is very sweet... would be a nice inspiration for your pleco tank aquascape...

More wood would be better though...

I will try to find more pictures to give you an idea...

Why not try with a Black ghost knife. Black gravel and a black background together with some big green plants and a couple of some kind of cryptocoryne sp.

I'm thinking of changing my small tank decor... removing the plastic plants... adding wood... lots of wood...
