Yes master tequila that's the stuff;) Every time I've tried it in the discus tank it turns brown and dies and whilst I was making my mind up about this tank I got some more because this is good old moon water straight from the tap, now I'm kind off stuck with the stuff. It will either:

Go in this tank and get eaten
Go in George/ina's tank and get eaten
Or go in the discus tank and die

The only other option would be to tie it to twig, put it in a pint glass and see what happens:ROFL:

Whats the stuff? Did I miss something here, you didn't tell me the name of this Moss, or did I miss that?

Vesicularia dubyana "Christmas Moss" a.k.a. Java Moss? This moss can hold what PH from 5.5 to almost 9, dude my what was around 6.0~6.5 when I had a planted tank and the moss was everywhere. Actually I still have the dam stuff in my tank now, it's on every piece of wood in the tank now. The RTGG's eat the dam stuff when there in the mood but it just grows back. Heck I've cut the photo period down too as little as 3 hrs per day and the dam stuff grows. That water you people have there on that planet must be not just toxics but leathal, for I can't kill java moss regardless how I try. And you put it in your tank and "BANG" it just dies. Dude my advice is too move to back to the better planets. :D

Seriously, I've tried twice to grow and within a day or two it just dies:nilly:

Doesn't matter, Mrs Y has stuffed it into some wood in the plec tank, time will tell?

The cardinals were a great idea but every time I get them they seem to die, and this time was no different:nilly:

Ok then after a bit of discussion with Lou, the idea was to add a school of cardinals to the tank, this never works as no matter what I do cardinals always die. Not deterred I got some anyway, 10 to be exact and 10 black neon tetras and why not a new plec as well, it is a plec tank after all, L201:headbang2

Had to resist the zebras(L46) £125 each:irked: So very carefully the 20 tetras were added and immediately as soon as the bag hit the water 3 were dead:nilly: after 3 careful hours of acclimitising them in they were added. Within 20 minutes all the cardinals were either dead or dieing :nilly::nilly: the blacks were ok, dishearten I waited for the lights to come on, the black neons are fine and happy, one cardinal remains and I can't add any more because there is something about this fish that will always die. Anyway the L201:

The tetras are so quick it's impossible to get a good shot here in a country where black pipes are readily available;)

You just had to rub it in, eh? ;)

When are you getting the black background? :) That tank is getting sweeter and sweeter :) You might also add some dead leaves on the bottom... and twigs hanging from the surface...

It would seem that he has enough dead things in his tank now that adding more just seems to make even less sense. Dead leafs and such will just help to raise the ammonia levels in the tank.:irked:

Yanbbrox, dude I can't believe you have so many problems with Paracheirodon axelrodi, maybe you should try keeping Neon Tetras (Paracheirodon innesi) instead they can take lower PH, plus they seem to be hardier than Cardinals plus they look very simular.
