  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
update!!! the bloke at my lfs is gonna get some in for me for £3 each!!! and he is doing them slightly cheaper if i buy a decent amount!!!!! yay!!!

good news then, that will be a cool tank when its up and running. pics would be ace when it is.

i know! im exited, lol. what is their appetite like?

from what i've read it's huge. good job you like aggressive fish. don't keep them with any fish you want to keep.

watch your light and nitrate levels since you won't have an algae eater to control the algae groth in the tank.

i'd also recommend stocking 10 to 20 since they get up to 6 inches long ... of course if you don't mind them eating each other when they start to outgrow the space to population size then 40 would be fine i suppose. kinda pricy as feeders though.

good luck, be sure to post pictures when you've got the tank stocked

of course, if you are still interested in aggressive fish that will work in that tank ... green spotted puffers (brackish) are smart and aggressive. I think you can have 3 in a 55 without them picking fights. there is also my personal favorite of dwarf pike cichlids. most of them max out between 6 and 12 inches. entertaining eaters and can also tell the difference between individual people. you also have the option of snegal bichirs for that tank (12 inches) you could keep a few of them.

i'm a fan of a smaller number of bigger, smarter fish as opposed to schoolers as well though. in the end it's your tank and i'm sure it'll work out well.

Good luck with the exodons :headbang2:headbang2

Keep us updated with lots of pics and news on them ;)

i was thinking maybe 2 dozen so it's pretty much 2 gallon per fish...

i'm so dissapointed that they dont breed as i think i had the coolest exo idea ever.....

i'm gonna look up dwarf pike cichlids, dont like bichirs, never understood the appeal....

love green terrors but think it'll be hit and miss for my tank and the thought of having a school of exodons is really getting me exited!!!

quick question, if i were to get 24 exodons, would it work to get 12 then get 12 the same size a month later? just to split the cost...
