Stocking?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw some pictures and i really like it but here it is really hard to find even the normal snakehead (under normal i mean the most common form)and i doubt about selling one of these somewhere. I heard your comments about the pacus but i can find them home in the local aquarium. I think they had an amazon biotope with some of them. Any other ideas about the stocking? Maybe something like jaguar or?

I would ask around your local petshops about the fish selection they have, then post the selection up here.

For that tank, for life, your options are pretty small as far as predatory fish. Some say rainbow hi fin wolf fish will live in a tank of that dimens just fine for life, id say thats the smallest tank you can comfortably fit one in. If i were you id be looking for something that doesnt get larger then 6-8 inch and only go for one of that specie, unless you over-filter the hell out of it id say thats the most manageable idea

Sorry,i think i couldn't understand your reply. You are going to ask in the local petshops in my city or? (Reply to Pole) So, i should keep one of these wolf fishes in there and nothing else if i get your idea, Buffalo.

the plec will outgrow that tank, and what are the dimensions? I would say a chaca chaca catfish for that tank.

He never said what type of pleco it is. If you give advice, at least have all the facts first..

Yep that'd work. Maybe one more docile not very active tank mate
