ok, so my pond got COMPLETELY wiped out by an otter :( luckily my akita got ahold of it one night and now its a dead otter. I now get the fun of restocking the pond i had already put $600 of fish in, this time around instead of doing a bunch of medium sized fish like jack dempsys, oscars, green terrors and what not i want to just do a few large fish, i went my LFS afterwords and they gave me some free fish out of pity (mostly just returned monster fish that they know they will never sell) and this is what i ended up with.
1 arrowana
1 florida gar
1 jag cichlid
1 blood parrot ( ignore him when you give stocking ideas hes old as hell and wont last much longer)
1 oscar
1 pleco
1 sun catfish
and a threw a bunch of convicts/guppies/giant danios in there for food, i also plan on putting a bunch of ghost shrimp and w/e those self cloning cray fish are since everything loves to eat crayfish.
so i figure this leaves me with room for 2-3 more fish, i for sure want a peacock bass, and then idk about the last 2 was looking at midas/trimac cichlids, im just looking for 14-24 inch fish that wont completely destroy the feeder fish population like a dovii would ( i remember with my old stock i had about 50 2 inch tiger barbs and when i put a 8 inch oscar in there he ate every single one in 3 days)
ALMOST forgot pond dimensions lol its 27x11x3 and roughly 6.5k gallons

forgot the mention i dont want any hyper aggresive fish like hatians/umbee/butti's and the likes, I dont mind aggresive like jags/midas, but keep the charles manson incarnates to yourself lol

you could do more than just one peacock bass they do well and look nice in a small group of 2-3...Also if you would like you could add a giant gourami or two

i like the idea of more peacock bass my only concern is if they breed, and the giant gourami is a nice idea ill have to consider that, thank you.

lol i live in south florida so otters arent uncommon, and i know i could do alot more fish i just want there to be plenty of room for em all. Like i said i just want a few monsters nothing under 14 inches.
An ornate birchir might be an interesting addition, i just dont know if i will ever see him lol.
