Hey theres nothing wrong with being honest. It may seem like a giant obstruction but I was thinking that in a round pond I could have the "viewing box" along a side and then use the same area for the filter system on each side of the box...if that makes any sense. Then once the the tops of the filter area were covered it would look like it was incorporated in the tank and would hide the filter.

well from what i see it look like u would see the fish and the mirror below/above! i think it would be disorienting for the viewer and the inhabitants!

Im a little hazy on what you mean but as long as you look at eye level with the mirror all you would see was fish.

I think if it was built right and incorporated in the tank it would be very cool and not to mention different...which in my mind is also good.

This is what im talking about

Here you can see the inlets for the overflow into the filter area...probably will make it larger though

Here is where you would see all the amazing fish from the best angle!

Oh so thats going to be ON a tank? I thought that was going to be the tank!

Ha ha No Way! If that were the case I would agree with you...I wouldnt like it either. I just want a BIG tank for little $$ and a target pond is that way to get alot of water for your buck but wouldn't function like a tank (side viewing) but with this it would and would still be just as strong where as adding a window would be risky.

Now that my idea is clear  What do you guys think?

man the pond section sure is dead...

its winter of course the pond section is dead. Build it up and lets look at the finished product
