Stocktank Monster Pond With Window!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im debating what material I should use. It will have a LARGE load but doesnt need to be transparent...

Ply and fiberglass? Should work...any other ideas?

Cost effective there really isnt that much out there. Id say foam, a 4x10 sheet is like $8 and you can just paint it to look like rocks, but you wont be able to lean on it or anything.

Why not use a cheap USB webcam and build a clear plexi housing for it to waterproof. There are also USB to CAT5 extenders that let you run USB up to 200 feet over a ethernet cable...

I could but a cheap webcam will never have the resolution of a mirror...or the reliability

wow those are some major tanks! too bad i could never fit one through my front door.

ha ha idk about that one...I think a saws all and a sledge hammer would be needed...idk if my landlord would like that:ROFL:

I will be replacing 3 windows in a large fiberglass pond I am setting up.I must do this because I flexed the fiberglass during installation and cracked lexan where bolts go through. It will be a diy window install on round pond wall surface ,using 1/16 lexan 1/2 thick starboard frame, and then bolting to fiberglass. the sandwich will be,from inside out - starboard-lexan-silicone-fiberglass-starboard. plenty stiff. should never crack again
