Well now don't you all who said fraud feel like a bunch of jerks...

It was a decent theory, how do you think crimes ar solved you have to think through the possible scenarios. If it had turned out to be the owner, and nobody pursued it, then he would have gotten away.

Ehh, I see what you mean but I don't agree.

Sure people have sabotaged themselves for money or for insurance claims but when reading then story it never once crossed my mind. I mean a prized piece of coral being damaged and the store bird being tossed in a pond, I just don't see that happening if it's an inside job. My .02...

maybe the angry customer and the shop owner are the same person...JUST JOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to hear that someone was caught!

haha justice is served

it said fish where still flopping when the owner arrived meaning he just missed this lowlife. maybe if he had a alarm or simply adt he would have fared better. i mean all that damage took some time as did the theft so if an alarm had of been installed this guy would have gotten busted saving the owner alot of grief.

Glad to hear that they found the perpetrator. But really... i had my doubts on the store owner.... He wouldn't have done that to his own store...

I'm glad they got the guy, what a sicko. I've been po'd at fish stores before, mostly because of the idiots that work there and the care they give their stock (one is salisbury i won't even step foot into anymore, I can't stand to see that kind of abuse). But I certainly would never do something like this, it's beyond my comprehension. What kind of person would you have to be to even consider this, much less do it?

Especially throwing his Parrot into the pond still in its cage. Fish are one thing but an animal that can hold a conversation with you is a completely different story.

What a stupid stupid excuse for a human. "My fish died because I can't take care of fish. Time to stew in my own anger for awhile before bringing the hammer down!"
