PETA has been classified as a domestic terrorist organization by our government and I think that they should be. Putting that to the side, I think that there are enough snappers to support a festival for those that want to enjoy some turtle meat but I do agree that some of those people went over the top with how they were treating the animals. As a hunter myself, I try to make sure that the death is very quick and painless. Dragging out a kill in this manner is not okay in my book. There are other organizations that are anti-snapperfest. I will join those before I ever associate myself with PETA.

Really irrational aren't you? Is that a challenge? I'm pretty MFK advocates for discussion and not dogma. Seeing that you participated in a senseless act of violence though, hey, no surprise. It doesn't mean when lots of people are doing something, that makes it fine, well, at least, not for a bunch of monkeys at a violent snapper fest.
