Straight outta the congo

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very cool!

Where did you end up ordering from? Did you like using them?
Ive done Wet Spot, Toyin and Rapps on fish orders and I always look at other alternatives especially when it comes to the oddballs like puffers.

I almost don't want to tell you since your looking for the same things as me lol. I go through the vendors here first then I start on my list.

This one came from exoticfishshop. He also had the hairy that I was going to get. This is actually my first time using them, but the packaging was one of the best I've ever received and the puffer looks really healthy. It wasnt cheap, but puffers like this are hard to come by for me.

Check out the list in post 9 1st pg I believe https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/rhyacoglanis-paranensis.702543/

My old suvatti came from gunpowder. Give me a heads up if you run across more than 1 somewhere or a baileyi.

If your looking for a nice puffer similar to a spotted congo but less than half the price. I found an abei this morning that I wish someone would hurry up and buy

I usually do Wet Spot because Im so close the next day shipping is only like $28. Ive heard of exoticfishshop and have had others say the shipping was very well done.

I will PM you if I spot anything good. Dont worry Im not able to get anything for a while, lol. My growout is in use and I have nowhere to put anything right now. It would likely be a year down the road before I could do anything. :(

I was just kidding

I have the beginnings of a xmas story plug situation going on myself. I need to wire the other side of the basement asap.

I think my last shipping quote from wetspot was in the neighborhood of $70+, but they do have a miurus now.

Settling in nicely. Dude is really active buzzes around the tank a lot. Devoured a little shrimp tail out of my fingers then nibbled on another piece and ate the very end of an nightcrawler. Not too bad for the 2nd day.

I'll put the leds on next week and I have to make a real tank top this weekend.

Hey at least you have a basement! My wife and I decided to down size a few years back since our son was grown and gone so we went and got a rambler that was half the size of our last home. At 1034 sq. ft. we love it but no room for multiple tanks. Dont feel too sorry for me, I did get to remodel based off my 300 gallon being the main focus in the living room. So I have that and my 65b for the hairy puffer and another 65B that Im growing out some oscars that I want to add to the 300. When that tank becomes available, it might be time for another lurker.

Love how the Congo buries itself. What type of sand are you using?

That sounds nice. I wish I could consolidate in a big main display. We're trying to remodel or move ourselves. So I'm trying to hold off on big tanks until we figure out that situation. Hopefully I can find a job along the gulf coast and get our forever home.

The sand is a mix of play and pool that I had to fight a big jag for.
