There are two goby looking fish that are brown and ab 2 inch long. very small face with a small head, doesnt really look like the gobys ive seen and i cant find anything to get an i.d. they came with the ghost shrimp i bought as feeders if that helps and there are more of these things at the lfs in the shrimp tank. does neone have a clue what this could be?

need a picture

okay ill try. very hard to get a picture. they are in a big heavily planted discus tank... i gave up on trying to get them out. dont seem to bother nething just ugly looking.

Im going to guess swamp darters.

I get alot of Darters and Mosquitofish in with ghost shrimp. Gobies are less common, but possible.

I think Darters are regular freshwater Perciformes fish... which makes their convergent evolution (HUGE SIMILARITY WITHOUT RELATION) with gobies extremely fascinating!

sounds like swamp darters which more common hitchtakers in the ghost shrimp shipments.

Yup its a darter.

just looked up darter on google. def a black banded darter.
