No its not blackbanded darter, it doesnt look right for a blackbanded. Its Swamp darter.
 
agree - swamp darter. can easily take 90 deg water. ours do every summer - in the wild and in my tanks/ponds.
 
yea its living in a hot discus tank fine. will it get colorfull with time or will it stay that way

Sadly, swamp darters are not most colorful darters. So mostly likely it will be stay that way/
 
bummer... oh well ill leave the 2 in there. they are good for getting the food the discus miss and they stay small
 
Swamp darters are easiest and hardy darter species that they can survive any conditions compared to other species of darters. So you should have no problems with the swamp darters. This is one of few darters will take flakes.
 
yea. they sit in the rocks and driftwood and watch me as i walk around and when i come to the tank they swim up the glass expecting food. they love bloodworms.
