strange killer tetra?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like it although the lower jaw protrudes out a bit.

My first impression was the same as Oddball.
Here in Panama true snook (not the cichlid snook) (the Calva) are at times found far up river in fresh water rapids in the Rio Chagras, in Costa Rica in the Rio Colorado, in Tortuguero, in Nicaragua in Lake Nicaragua, and in Veracruz Mexico.
On the Altlantic side they are found from Florida to Brazil.
There is also a small snook Centropomis robalito found mostly in estuaries as far up stream as 50 meters from the gulf of California to Peru.
All the above have the double dorsal split, a forked tail, and protruding lower jaw.
The lateral line is distinct, and all have large eyes.

i talked to them again i asked for another picture they work at the same aqua place as me anyways they said it is living in a bowl or something for now so i think i have to take it because it would have cleared thier entire tank it has very very strong jaws and just starts living off of the scales of other fish when in a big tank. they said they will send me a better picture but i never got one yet. I think they are just going to give him to me next time they see me. THey dont have a place for it.

ALSO IN THE GTA so maybe while i set him up in my 40 or something i have empty if anyone is really interested we find the right species does not really fit here we can work out some kind of trade or something? Just a thought.

Sounds like a made-up story to me, candidpets.
