o $2 "plecos". they were actually synos. lol the guy even showed me some 6-7in synos and said "yea those plecos do a good job of cleaning the tank, these aren't even full grown either" haha. i took 3

Well the stangest and most painfull was when i was fishing with my cousin on the bank of a harvested rice paddy. they normally flood them with river water at the start of the growing season so by the end there are some nice sized fish for the pan.
was washing of a worm i was using for bait in the water (murky brown)
when snap i had a 8' wolf fish haning on the meat of my hand.
we promtly put him in the bucket....took him home and dumped him in with some goldfish my sister had ..no other tank was available ..kept him for almost 2 years then released him back in the river close to where we caught him ..scratch that ..where he caught me.

Man, that had to hurt!

I got a 12"+ Pbass for free. A customer called the lfs where I work and said he had a big Pbass that had outgrown his 55 gal. and he wanted to donate it to our store. My coworker who answered the phone asked us, "we don't have room for a 12" Pbass do we?".

I said, "I'll take it!". So the customer brings it in, in a little bucket and it is stressed out! Like pitch black. Then I have to keep it in a styrafoam fish box for 6 hours waiting to get off of work. Luckily I was able to use a couple of spare airlines to aerate the fish box. The other bad thing was that the lfs I work at only has cold water coming out of the hose, so when I filled the box with cold water, the Pbass starting swimming upside down! I thought for sure it wouldn't last 6 hours!

While driving home, I noticed that the Pbass had stopped splashing around in the box, which was in the passenger seat. I thought for sure it had died. However, when I got home and put it in my swimming pool/pond, it was still alive but still doing those "death twirls". However, after a couple of hours, it was swimming normally and it regained most of its colors, and it has been fine ever since.

Definately a testament to how tough cichlids can be!

I used to live in an apartment building near a "lake" HA! Anyway, after it rained one night I had two 3" crayfish on my doorstep. I "acquired" one and put him into a 20g with some aftricans. He lived for two years in there.

lol my ex girlfriends parents had a tank with a few tiger barbs and little mollys they were stoners and didn't pay much attention to the tank they would just dump some food in every day never saw them do waterchanges. They must have though. Anyways me and my ex got some of those neon injected fish and a gourami and put it in there tank. Her parents were stoners and drunks but man it was funny the theory they came up with was there was live fish eggs in the food. Or there fish had cross bread LMAO still

Um.... I had a cherry barb get sucked into a box filter 3 times, it's still alive....
If you count that.

I met a angelfish breeder at a gas station on a highway offramp.Handed him a wad of cash for a cardboard box.Went inside cause my wife was feeding the kids at the subway there.Thats when I realized most of the folks in the store watched the "deal" through the front window.Whole place looked like they were trying to look like they werent looking at me and all had these "should I call a cop" worried expressions on thier faces. So I had mercy on them, and took the bag of fish out of the box and showed it to my wife holing it high so everyone could see. They all looked relieved and went back to thier business.:lol2:
