Kanaplex is easily absorbed so it might be worth a shot if you think it’s fighting an infection. Also, I’d start getting some soft pipettes and materials ready in case you plan to force feed
I’m sorry to hear about your issue getting to eat. I’m just seeing this thread but If you haven’t yet, Try nightcrawlers, I’ve noticed my most stubborn rays won’t touch bloodworms or any other type of worm other than big Canadien nightcrawlers. Cut them up into appropriate pieces like others have said
If you want to try medicating then I myself would be deworming using prazi. Then I’d wait and see if they ate and if no luck still after a few days then I’d treat for bacterial with nitrofurazone
Well he is still alive. No improvements though. I would love to know why he does this all the time. Obviously something is bothering his mouth he will swim but turn the front part of his disc down, its quite strange.
Would he have a barb stuck in his mouth. If he was with alot of rays and one shed a barb it could of stuck in him. Seen it before but not in the mouth.
No idea tbh mate. It does appear that a functional/neurological issue may have resulted from the toxic shipping injury he sustained.
It is hard to tell from that specific picture, but his physical condition does not appear to have reached a critical stage as yet.
Did you ever try the gel based food so he wouldn’t have to chew much?
