Actually, I did read, I know from that post you havent added it yet, but it seems like you decide its still worth using after vamp has advised against it on the second page. You're still not clarifying why you're rinsing out your media every 2 weeks along with your actual water params...

man there is sponges in the filter an there is cotton like bio floss... i rinse the floss part out with tap water an jus dipp the sponge in a bowl of tank water bout 3 or 4 times get out some waste .. with the boimax in there its all good...its jus maintenance to get full use of what i have.. not like im scrubbing everything down an cleaning it all with tap water.. shouldnt be a prob..

my nirates never get over 5.0 or 10.0.. you sure your at 30..? seems kinda high.. im at 5.0 right now i gues your right i shouldnt say 0. but the rest is so dang close to 0..

if your not getting much or any nitrates readings, then your tank is not cycled. Foggy water is your sign.

Forgot to mention that your biomax is just about useless right now as there is no way bacteria can seed it within a couple hours...your repeated unneccesary rinsing of media is also screwing with your cycle...And isnt your bio floss suppose to be the part that has the bacteria growing? and you decide to rinse it with tap water?
