Stretched ears!

Savannah-have you experienced any scarring from any of your suspensions? I've always wanted to be suspended, but don't want to risk damaging my backpiece since it is a competition piece. As for piercings I've taken 14 out over the years leaving only my lobes at 5/8", a custom industrial @ 12ga, trageus, conch, rook, and nipples double pierced @ 8ga horizontal and a deep 12ga vertical. I can also put in my toungue and frenum with minimal effort but don't wear them regularly anymore. I'm thinking about adding some dermal anchors on my chest though to accent some designs I already have.

Forgive me, Inglorious...I didn't understand any of the following. Do you mind? And if I may make so bold as to ask for a photo, that would be most conducive to satisfying a girl's curiosity...

And all I can say here is :WHOA:. lol. How do you double pierce a nipple?

One thing I hate is having to remove all piercings for mri/cat scans. Does wood do anything benefical, like keep your ears cleaner or something? I use plastic/acrylic only, haven't tried wood.

Yes, organics in general can be more beneficial to a piercing than steel glass or plastic. Bone horn And wood all work well. Wood in particular can help cut down on "ear cheese" and that smell when you take your plugs out. They soak up all the oil your body produces and break down that dead skin. There is some upkeep and their a bit more pricy, but that's all I wear in my lobes.

I feel your pain there. I've taken out a tragus rim orbital, three tongue, 4g septum, 3/4" nipple, 3 surface neck, 12 surface chest, 2 navel, 10 frenum ( but I replaced them with a more substantial permanent mod =). ) a few other more private piercings and some scalpel work. As far as scarring goes, it depends on a few factors, how you want to go up/position. How much do you weigh? And what do you want to do when your up? Either way scarring is very minimal and depending on how your back piece is laid out you could most likely aim for a darker area or large base color that would camouflage the scars well. But if nothing went wrong scarring max would be about a 4 gauge.

Oh and dermal anchors, I'm assuming you mean micro-dermals. I would say NO! I have lost 3 in my chest two in my throat and one on my right calf. They are a real pain, scar badly, and cause more problems than their worth.

I would just like to formally state that I had NO idea what I was asking for a photo of, so for anyone who does....I'm sorry!!! :footinmou <-- I'm just gonna shove this thing a little deeper now.... And especially to you Inglorious... *hides in corner* Thanks Savannah for letting me know! I'll just PM you in the future to avoid this awkward situation....

Lol @ Kelly, google can be your friend or enemy. I've have plenty of people ask if I have "that" pierced, then get this horrible look on their face when I tell them I did it multiple times myself.

@ Savannah, yes I was referring to micro-dermals, I'm aware of the risk of rejection but since I was able to keep three trans-dermal surface piercings on my nape for almost a decade with no rejection then I was willing to try it. Some people's bodies seem to handle single and multi point surface piercings better than others do, perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones. As for the permanent mod you replaced your frenum with, did you get beading or do something more extreme involving splitting?

I agree with organic jewelry being better to wear, although my current eyelets are SS with removable exotic wood disks. One of my favorite materials is coconut shell, although buffalo horn is very nice too. A small bottle of orange oil not only keeps wood from splitting and drying out but also keeps you smelling good all day.

To be honest, Inglorious, in this particular neck of the woods, I'm afraid to use google. lol. Easier on the imagination if I'm told than to see. You know? Savannah told me to watch this documentary called "Flesh and Blood." After that, I was determined to not google anything! lol

.
Both, 18 beads 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. I had an rpa that was a 00 and the weight began to stretch so i decided to scalpel thru and extend the cut, just smooth out tear. Not pleasant but a very good decision after all was said and done =)
