Striped Bass?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look into some of its congeners, such as white bass, yellow bass, and white perch. They are still large for aquarium fish (12-18"), but not gigantic. The record striped bass was 5 feet long and over 70 lbs., but even a typical bass is too large for most monster fish keepers.

World record Rod and reel is 78.8 lbs cought in 1982 in Atlantic City, NJ. Commercial fishermen have reported larger ones brought up in nets some over 100lbs. Of course average is much smaller. Most I catch off the beach are 10-25lbs the biggest one I cought was about 40lbs on a live eel.

Great fish, they are my absoulte favorite game fish. The next question will be how many can I keep in my 125 with my RTC and Aro.

You would need a giant fish tank to house these monsters plus cold water is needed.... A tank as big as the ones at Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's would be good for these monsters.

A 125 is too small for an aro and rtc as well
