Strongest Rod

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you have the money St. Croix have unbelieveable action! I rough up my rods to much to get one. I am always going through havick after a steelhead pulls a 180 turn on me into the brush. So I normally go with something like an ugly stick just because of well more the price than anything else. I go through one a year for some reason or another.

For big game, go fiberglass, they last forever and don't shatter like graphite.

I have some ugly sticks for 19 years now that fish fine, good bang for the buck.

there's plenty of SW rods much stronger than ugly sticks, ones used for marlins and sharks and the lot of big water game fish, for FW stuff ugly's are good though.

I use the ugly stick too,I like the action on it.Its thin but stiff, for controlled casting from bushy weedy shorelines.

ugly sticks are one of the most durable fishing rods out there i use them for catfishing i use medium heavy and man those things are strong but make sure u change the guides on the rod because they arent good at all i like ugly sticks but ST croix definatly a strong rod and my favorite rod and are extremely durable

Every rod is breakable and that is why I dont use braid any more.

Ive broken two G-Loomis rods setting the hooks on bass using braid. :irked:

Im rough on my gear and use nothing but cheap rods now cause Im lucky to have one more then a year!

Get a SHIMANO Clarus if u brake it in anyway they will replace it for free.

ugly sticks are nice i have a few spinning combos with them and are always fun for light tackle blues and bass, fresh water i like daiwa, saltwater- penn

shimano rods are shocking they are hairy dogs C0ck no Offence... the reels are amazing. The best rods are customs made of carbon fibre and are got to be the lightest and strongest material.unless you use a scaffolding pole...lol
