Hi, it is really hurt, and the pain you never felt before. I got stung also early this year. and i put my hand directly into very hot water, and tied my elbow. so the pain did not travel to other place. and is better go see doctor.i did not see doctor, actually the pain goes off after 2-3 hours, may be because i dip inside hot water for 30 minutes.

I hope you recover well, be more careful in future. ;-)
 
when i was in ecuador i stepped on one going surfing, it was the worst pain i ever had, i feel for you buddy, at first it felt like something was biting me and wouldn't let go, but then the venom set in, incredible pain.
 
go print a copy of the ray safety thread and keep it in close reach... this way you go to the hospital and can give them info right off the bat and not wait for them too look it up... just a idea thats why it is a sticky
