i would get a print out from two sources. fishbase, and another reputable site, i.e., primitive fish.com. then show the article to her to educate them so they make the same mistake. might also want to show the type that gets to 3 feet to tell the differences between species. you can also mention there are more than one species. no need to hate PEACE

Petco refused to sell me dwarf 3 gourami for my girlfriends 15 hex because I listed the stock as 6 Cardinal tetras, 2 Aenus cories, a chocolate pleco, 2 mystery snails, and several ghost shrimp and 2 Ryukins "who are going into a pond before the gourami go in the water".


"You can't mix tropical with goldfish I'm refusing this sale" I argued that with the filtration and the upkeep and my expertise and pointed out the cardinals are harder to keep than gourami and that he had Iridescent Sharks and pacu for sale and Tigerbarbs in the angel tank and then I got mad and left. But 10 minutes later I was over it and happy that they asked.

I have been lucky and not come across any dumb lfs. There is about 5 i consider to be my local fish store...all of which specify in different areas. At the closest one theres this great assistant (female...but not sure if this is relavent) who knows exactly what i have at home, and has since after my very first visit
