I wish all fishkeepers were MFK's. Then the fish would be as happy as we are.

But see, poeple still put fish that are going to get too large in small tanks here, they also overcrowd then simply say "Its a japanese style" and everyone goes "Wow, nice fish and tank!"

but then people complain and get overidin because the person has "excellent filtration" even though its still denying the fish enough space to live happily.

=/

true true, Im just saying I just thought we were all here for the same reason. I think the point is not hey petsmart/ petcos bad blah blah it happens alot at stores. It just seems to happen there and get posted. It all comes down to it being sad when a fish(s) go home somewhere where they dont belong :( and I do apologise for my post
No apologies need for your opinions. We all have ours as well.

You can't say they don't have good deals.. They have a 25ft python for like $20 in their clearance bin by my house. I want to get it but I need like 30 feet :(

I'd rather build my own anyways..

Yeah, I guess I'd have to agree on the "good deals". They have "sushi" (dead fish) cheaper then anyone.
Building your own is :cool-1::cool-1::thumbsup::thumbsup:

But on a more serious note, I was at my LFS yesterday, and saw one of those mother/child combos near the fish section. You know, the ones buying the tank, filter, food, lights, and fish all at once cause the kid wanted a fish on the spot. The mother had a shopping cart with a 10g, accessories, and was in the process of asking the lady to bag her 5 RED BELLIED PACUS!!! She liked them cause they looked like piranhas. After the store lady told her a 10g would be fine, I respectfully intervened. In all politeness, I told her that a pacu, much less five, would grow way too large for anything less than a 300 (even that is pushing it). At that point, the store lady confronted me, and asked me to leave the store, since I was harrassing the other customers. I implored once again for her not to take the fish, but was then escorted by the manager outside. As I was in my car ready to leave, I see the lady and child walking out, the child jumping up and down in excitement, holding TWO BAGS with 4 or 5 pacu in each. May God have mercy on their souls.
Thats insane!

I don't know about anyone else, but I absolutely refuse to purchase any fish from Walmart. Every Walmart I have seen (I have travelled the country) has had the most horrible conditions and quite a few dead fish in their tanks. I don't know anyone who has ever purchased a fish from them that survived.
