stupid question about hydrolycus

i m here with my bad inglish and my new hydrolycus tatauaia about 8".
i bought him 2 weeks before and i saw that he has broke one of his two big teeth.
my stupid question is ... do they change their teeth or he will be for ever with broke tooth??

it will replace just fine,i hear they go through about 30-40 sets of teeth through their lifespan and correct me if im wrong anyone.

My Tats used to drop teeth often. Almost seemed like once a month.

if yes,might be true,might not.
but they dont die at 12 inches like scombs.

The species Hydro. Scomb. die for unknown reasons prematurely. Tats live fine and some have kept them to 18 inches.
