thats why i never gave mine a place to hide....

he eats only live fish (goldfish).
i can't make him to eat non-live food.
is about 9-10".
i move my hand and he runs out but the most time he is hiding..

Get some smelt (if you cut it up feed the pieces with the eye, they seem more attracted to that) and throw it in the current. Combined with some starving I am shure he will take it.
