Tell her to drop some malachite green in there! Lol all kidding aside, hmmmm not sure. I would imagine food coloring would be harmful but who knows.

Lady was at my local shop trying to explain to the manager what kind of fish she killed before her son gets home from vacation. She said the fish had hair he asked do you own cats she said no. She just said it was a hairy fish he pointed out a puffer she said no its more round. Next day I stopped by and asked did she take a picture and bring it back he said yes she did and it was a hamster that fell in the tank.

About nine months ago I decided I wanted an Oscar, so I went to my local pet"smart" [this is before I found my wonderful lfs] and said, " what can I keep with an oscar, and what is an acceptable tank to keep them in. Now I have 9 inch oscar, a Jack dempsey, common pleco, two parrot cichlids, a sun cat, and a green terror [which was sold to me as a second Jack Dempsey!] all in 56 gallon. Don't worry all except the oscar, green terror, and pleco have been moved to a new aquarium. Still figuring out about the oscar. Curse my local pet"smart" !!!!!!!!!

I was at my LFS and a guy was there with his 2 kids probably 8 and 10. The guy asked if he could buy a fish that wouldn't live to long. He said his kids really wanted a fish but he knew that would get bored of it quickly and he didn't want to take care of it. The store worker and guy went back and forth for a while finally coming to the conclusion this guy actually wanted a fish that would die in a few days. They decided on a single molly I don't know how they decided on that molly.
