I gave mine to my BF, I told him it wasn't tame like but he still insisted on handling it... it bit him on the knuckle lol. He's had loads of westerns (used to breed them) and only one ever bit him and invenomated him... said it didn't hurt just his hand swelled up a tidgey tidgey bit. Might be able to get pix....

Saying hognose snakes are venemous is not completely true. There has been speculation for years about this, but the only real research I've seen simply doesn't bear that out. Most likely it's inline with an allergic reaction to the saliva. Heck, if you inject human saliva into your hand, you will get swelling, discoloration, etc. That doesn't mean it's venomous.
School functions suck. The only two I ever went to were junior and senior proms, and they both sucked. It's nothing to beat yourself in the head over.
Just be glad your school's not playing my school though. Your school would lose. I think they were #2 nationwide last year.

Western Hog Nosed are poisonous/venomous whichever way you want to look at it. Whether its because they have mild venom or their saliva. Komodo Dragons are considered venomous because of their salvia so it's not difference to me. The proof is there. Rear fangs, pain and swelling after a bite, it still gives alot of people a tickle after a bite lmao!!
It's funny how my boyfriend said only one made him swell up, mine didn't, only thing I can think is it didn't get his fangs into him (which he said it never) or didn't inject? One to think about, course it depends on your belief about these LOL.

'Cause human saliva is dirty...fact! And No, not considered venomous, more poisonous if injected. But then what human being is going to go around saying 'Eh mate, If you bit me you'd be venomous'
A great example is the Komodo Dragon, their not actually venomous but they're considered it and poisonous 'cause of their saliva. Humans are more concerned what animals are considered poisonous, not what humans are.
But just because human saliva will make us swell if injected, it doesn't PROVE westerns aren't. No point discussing it really as this debate will be around for years
Homecoming is when the football team (that's American football) plays a bunch of away games and then comes home and traditionally plays its main "rival" team. There's a big pep rally and decorations and festivities and some schools have homecoming dances.
