it is not possible in long terms. Those fish are short lived and stunted. sturgeons are coldwater fish with a slow metabolism. As said before, not a single sturgeon species managed to thrieve in tropic waters, all live in cold climate and that has a reason. We should give our pets the environement they need and do no experiments with their life. thats my opinion and i stand for that and i don't care if some southeast asian 3 rd world countries with terrible animal abuse cases also torture sturgeons. Please give your sturgeon the environement he needs and what he is adapted for.

is 5+ years not long term enough? not a single species when thailand breeds them in mass numbers. U need to get out and explore some more. do not experiment with their life when that is what ur work place is doing. Ur a funny guy. lol!

I'll just stop here now.

no 5 years are nothing for an animal that can get more than 150 years old...And please...Thailand...thats not even a functional country.

explain me please, why an anadromous fish that lives in salt and freshwater was nable to inhabit tropic waters in more han 350 million years. What do you think is the reason for that?

Rofl! In the wild, sturgeon live between estimated 30 years (Sterlet) up to over 100 years(Beluga, Atlantic). For sturgeon 5 years is toddler age ;)

We are not taking about the in wild. Btw we are talking about sterlets which can only live to 22-25 years in the wild and matures at 3-6 years. Dont add beluga sturgeon it's not on this topic. 5 years old sterlet is not a toddler and I also mentioned that were already living in a tank for so many years before my cousin bought them and place them in his pond. So he is keeping them for 5+ years. Not sure how many years they were in the tank from the previous owner.

If a country does not function then why their are still people in their, business and tourist.

lol! simple answer people took them in and breed them. It's also the reason why sterlets are more abundant in the aquarium trade due to their wide range of tolerance. Other sturgeon will die. Sterlets and shovelnose sturgeon are some of the sturgeon species that can tolerate the warm water. They can survive because they can adapt. If they cannot survive then they die. However they still survive and manage to breed.

It's already been proven. Come with me on Dec on my trip over their. I will pay for your ticket and everything. However if you see them well and healthy I will not pay for ur ticket on the way back.
