The looks and biology of fish hybrids seems to be invariably totally dominated the mother species vs father species.
 
Weird that, cos if you breed a male brown bristlenose with a blue eyed lemon female, the offspring are generally always browns. Ie. The males dna driving.
But if you breed a short fin male bristlenose with a long fin female the offspring are both short and longs with the % higher in the long fin, female dna driving.
Tried both the above with a number of different parents and got the same results. Unless there is more at play here, such as ph, or water.
