Yes, sterlet sturgeon would be the way to go for an aquarium, but they only seem to be sold at 3-4 inches and they take forever to grow..

Shovelnoses also work. Moontanman knows a guy who supplies dinks of Paddlefish. Shortnoses would also work (Provided you could actually find a hatchery that will sell you one.)

Just buy a sterlet they usually only get 3 and a half feet in aquariums ( sometimes 5 )

catching one is Hard work bro and you can find some small ones in the delta but its a all day and night trip or longer. 6th ave Aquarium in Sf has 3-4 " sturgeons and 12"+ from time to time.

I wouldn't even go with a sterlet, let alone any type of sturgeon. They are slow growers but it is common for them to easily reach 4'+. Unless you plan on converting your pool into a pond I wouldn't get one.
