Baby sturgeon cost like $50 in my lfs (3").. then I went to a supermarket and they sell mid-size sturgeon (14"+)for $11 per pound.. They looks so cute and Im wondering, is it possible to keep one in temperature around 76-80F? :D

how much space do you have they dont stop growing!!!!

not to mention aren't aquarium fish. Would be cool in a pond though. What species is it? A sterlet? Temps are a bit too high to be honest.

Your temperature range is too high and anything except a Sterlet would not even fit in an average pond. :screwy:;)

You're lucky, there is nowhere I can go to buy sturgeons, I just go fishing. Haven't even got a bite, actually. Yeah, keep in mind most sturgeons grow well over 10 feet, and generally aren't good for captivity unless you have an enormous place for them.

what part of cali are u in, i might be abel to help.

to answer u'r question just about all stergeon are cold water fish and won't thrive in 80 degree water. think goldfish temps.

Goldfish are doing great at 80 °F, but Sturgeon won´t anyway...

...and then there is the matter of size...

But I can understand the point, great fishes...but...

Hard to see, the Dark Side is. ;)
